Lutheran Community Services Northwest (LCSNW) is a non-profit organization dedicated to partnering with individuals, families, and communities for health, justice, and hope across Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. Within Benton/Franklin Counties, our Mental Health Clinicians in the outpatient department conduct vital mental health assessments, crisis intervention, case planning, and service coordination for youth, ages 5 to 21, with identified mental health needs, contributing to our mission.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate closely with Case Managers, MA-Cs, and ARNPs to assess youth, provide crisis management, individual therapy, and make appropriate referrals.
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health screenings and assessments to determine treatment needs.
  • Deliver clinical services using evidence-based practice models.
  • Utilize effective crisis intervention techniques to ensure client stabilization while fostering strong relationships with external agencies such as hospitals, medical clinics, DCYF, and schools.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all progress notes and required documentation.
  • Participate actively in mandatory training sessions to maintain professional development and consistently meet productivity expectations.
  • Demonstrate a high level of cultural competence and professionalism in all cross-cultural interactions, while strictly adhering to organizational policies and procedures.

Role(s): Role-specific responsibilities for this job are outlined as follows.

  • Team Member. All LCSNW team members are responsible for upholding and encouraging LCSNW values: compassion, integrity, interdependence, inclusion and stewardship; communicating openly and effectively; building collaborative relationships in balance with working independently; and strictly adhering to confidentiality and HIPAA standards.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1 year of related professional experience; knowledge and training in the areas of human behavior and mental health; awareness of individual differences in ability, personality and interest.
  • Adheres to and applies established operational processes in a timely, appropriate way
  • Thrives in a diverse and multicultural environment
  • Master’s degree in social or behavioral science or related field.
  • LMHC, LMHC, LICSW, LICSWA, LASW, or Washington State Counselor Agency Affiliated Registration is required within (60) days of hire.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written
  • Basic mastery of Google Suite and Microsoft 365 applications
  • Demonstrates resilience, awareness and self-regulation in navigating challenges, conflict and obstacles/barriers
  • Works with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies to enhance end-user experiences throughout the service lifecycle.
  • Successfully completes tasks in a moderately noisy environment
  • Interacts with others and performs tasks in-person and through the use of technology, with periods of stationary activity and minimal periods of increased physical activity including and not limited to walking within the office and engaging in non-competitive sports or other youth centered activities.
  • Moves equipment/materials weighing up to 20 pounds
  • Travels between worksites occasionally
  • Works in a variety of settings, including and not limited to LCSNW office locations, partner agency and community-based settings and faith-based settings such as churches
  • Meets LCSNW criminal background clearance requirements
