Job summary

The SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (BHDD) is seeking a Mental Health Professional I to deliver comprehensive clinical services at the Lexington CAF clinic. You will conduct assessments, provide individual, family and group therapy, and respond to crises under supervision.

Eligible applicants must have a Master’s in a related field and pursue SC licensure (LMSW/LMFT/LPC) within six months. Strong collaboration with schools and community partners is expected.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in guidance, counseling, or social sciences or related field.
• Must be licensed or willing to become licensed as LMSW, LMFT, or LPC within six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical assessments and individual, family and group treatment, plus crises intervention.
• Participate in supervision, treatment teams, and pursue professional development; apply evidence-based practices.
• Provide community consultation and respond to mental health crises in assigned settings.
• Complete documentation per QA/BHDD standards and ensure timely prior authorizations.
