California’s Go-To for Behavioral Health Recruiting | Fluent in LCSW & LMFT

Are you passionate about meeting people where they are—literally? Join a collaborative, boots-on-the-ground program that brings compassionate, life-saving care to the heart of our community.

We’re seeking a mission-driven, Mental Health Clinician (ACSW, AMFT, APCC, LCSW, LMFT, LPCC) to be a key part of a fast-response team working directly with individuals navigating the complex intersection of homelessness, substance use, mental health challenges, and medical needs. This role isn’t desk-bound. You’ll be out in the field—on the streets, in shelters, hospitals, drop-in centers—where the work is urgent, real, and deeply meaningful.

About the Program

This innovative, citywide initiative is a multidisciplinary partnership made up of therapists, peer counselors, medical providers, and harm reduction advocates. Together, we deliver trauma-informed, on-demand services to individuals who have recently experienced an overdose or are at risk. The goal: quick stabilization, meaningful connection, and long-term care engagement.

What You’ll Do

  • Bring care to the community: Engage clients in non-traditional settings such as encampments, SROs, hospitals, and drop-in centers—wherever they feel safe and ready.
  • Deliver culturally responsive, evidence-informed support: Use a variety of clinical approaches such as harm reduction, motivational interviewing, contingency management, brief therapy, and crisis intervention.
  • Build trusted relationships: Foster connections not only with clients but also their chosen support systems—family, friends, peers—and coordinate with medical and behavioral health providers.
  • Coordinate and advocate: Track referrals, provide warm hand-offs, and act as the glue between clients and critical services like housing, treatment programs, and healthcare.
  • Respond and support in real time: Offer clinical consults during working hours to triage emergencies and provide coverage for teammates when needed.
  • Document with care: Maintain clear and timely records in electronic health systems (EPIC/CIRCE) and meet Medi-Cal and special population funding documentation standards.

What You Bring

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field and current California registration or licensure (ASW, AMFT, APCC, LCSW, LMFT, LPCC).
  • Strong clinical toolbox including crisis intervention, de-escalation, and substance use treatment approaches.
  • Comfortable navigating field-based outreach work and electronic health records, including Epic or CIRCE (a plus).

Who You Are

  • You believe healing happens in relationships—and that starts with showing up.
  • You’re energized by complexity and unphased by ambiguity.
  • You thrive in interdisciplinary settings and see value in every role on the team.
  • You’re committed to equity, culturally competent care, and serving vulnerable populations with dignity and respect.

This is more than a job—it’s a mission. You’ll have the autonomy to be creative, the support of an expert team, and the opportunity to make immediate impact in someone’s life, every single day.

Ready to take your clinical skills into the community where they’re needed most?
