Job summary

Evolve Treatment Centers in Walnut Creek, CA seeks a Primary Therapist to deliver individual, family, and group therapy to teens in a 6‑bed residential program. You will maintain a small caseload and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support recovery and development.

The role requires CA licensure (LCSW/LMFT/LPCC or AMFT/ACSW/APCC), LiveScan clearance, and strong clinical judgment. A valid CA driver’s license is helpful for coordinating across sites.

Qualifications

• Active California licensure as LCSW/LMFT/LPCC or AMFT/ACSW/APCC.
• Ability to pass LiveScan and background checks.
• Strong clinical judgment and collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and family therapy for 3 teens and their families using evidence‑based practices (DBT, CBT, MI).
• Facilitate 1–2 therapy groups weekly and document notes accordingly.
• Participate in on‑call rotation to support after‑hours clinical needs.
• Support discharge planning with home contracts and referrals.
• Attend Treatment Team and Psychiatry meetings and share clinical updates.
• Ensure timely, accurate documentation in line with licensing standards.

We are currently hiring a Primary Therapist to provide individual, family, and group therapy to teens with mental health and/or substance use struggles in our 6-bed residential program in Walnut Creek, CA. This role is an exciting opportunity to have a small caseload (3 clients!) and be part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and family therapy sessions for 3 clients and their families through evidence-based practices including DBT, CBT, and MI
• Facilitate 1–2 therapy groups per week and document clinical notes accordingly.
• Participate in the on-call rotation, offering phone support and managing after-hours clinical needs.
• Support clients through discharge planning, including home contracts and after-care referrals.
• Attend weekly Treatment Team and Psychiatry meetings, contributing clinical updates and insight.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of all required documentation in compliance with licensing and accreditation standards.

What You’ll Need:

• Active California Licensure as an LCSW/LMFT/LPCC or AMFT/ACSW/APCC
• Ability to pass LiveScan, federal/state background checks, and child abuse index clearances
• Strong clinical judgment, documentation skills, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment
• Valid Ca driver's license as you may be asked to assist at our other locations.
