Job summary

Betty Hardwick Center in Abilene, Texas seeks a qualified Mental Health Professional to provide rehabilitative and psychosocial services within the ACT Team framework. You will assess service needs, plan Recovery goals, coordinate with community resources, and monitor progress, while maintaining thorough documentation.

The role requires in-person, long-term contact with individuals and families, a QMHP-CS certification, a bachelor's degree in a related field, and a valid Texas driver's license;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a social, behavioral, human service or health-related field (e.g., psychology, social work, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, human development, gerontology, education, criminal justice).
• Must be able to be certified as a QMHP-CS.
• Experience in mental health/intellectual and developmental disabilities services preferred.
• Experience in supported employment and/or supported housing services preferred.
• Must have a valid Texas Driver's License and be an insurable driver (driving is an essential function).

Responsibilities

• Provide Psychosocial Rehabilitative services within Level of Care 4 of the Texas Resiliency and Recovery model.
• Develop Recovery Plans based on ANSA calculations and Authorized Level of Care.
• Direct assessment of living environment and provide spontaneous assistance as needs arise.
• Work under pressure and document thoroughly; use community resources to meet needs.
• Be a member of the 24 hour ACT On-Call Crisis Team providing crisis resolution and intervention.
