Job summary

Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services seeks Mental Health Case Managers to help adults with severe mental illness in the community. We serve Cincinnati and Amelia, Ohio, and welcome new graduates and MSW/MA Counseling students through our Case Management Training Academy.

Responsibilities include delivering CPST and TBS services, in-office and community visits, telehealth, building therapeutic relationships, coordinating recovery plans, and linking clients to housing, treatment, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, criminal justice, or related human services degree.
• Experience in social services and behavioral health preferred but not required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provides CPST and Therapeutic Behavioral Services to persons with severe mental illness in outpatient and community settings.
• Serves individuals in the Greater Cincinnati area, including Hamilton and Clermont counties.
• Conducts face‑to‑face services in office and community, plus telehealth as needed.
• Establishes therapeutic relationships, assesses problems, selects interventions, and supports client functioning.
• Develops Individual Recovery Plan and coordinates access to medical treatment, housing, and employment services.
• Coordinates and participates in assessments; provides crisis assistance; delegates tasks; monitors service delivery.

Education

We have teams located in Cincinnati and Amelia, Ohio to serve individuals in Wilmington, Lebanon, Clermont and Hamilton County. This is a great starting point for a recent Social Work or Psychology graduate and students in an MSW or Masters in Mental Health Counseling program.

We are looking for BSW, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, or related Human Services degree graduates. Responsibilities for Case Manager:

• Provides case management - Community Psychiatric Support Treatment (CPST) services and Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) to persons with severe mental illness in an outpatient setting and in the community. May provide treatment to persons with substance use disorder as a secondary diagnosis.
• Provides services to individuals in the Greater Cincinnati area, including Hamilton and Clermont counties.
• Provides face-to-face services in the office and in the community along with telehealth services.
• Establishes therapeutic relationships, assesses complex problems, selects problem-solving interventions, and helps clients to function effectively.
• The case manager develops an Individual Recovery Plan and coordinates access to the recommended medical treatment services, employment assistance, housing assistance, and other targeted services.
• Coordinates, conducts or participates in assessments; provides crisis assistance services; delegates recovery plan tasks to appropriate service providers; and monitors overall service delivery.

Requirements for Case Manager:

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, or related Human Services degree.
• Experience in social services and behavioral health is preferred but not required.
• The position requires frequent driving of own personal vehicle. A valid driver’s license, vehicle, and insurable driving record are required.
