The position involves facilitating group activities, supervising patients, and participating in treatment planning to support patient safety and progress. Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health or a related field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Behavioral Health field; no previous experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a non-Behavioral Health field with a minimum of one year of behavioral health experience.
• Maintain information as highly confidential.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and willingness to seek supervision.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates didactic, educational and unit/program community groups within the assigned treatment programs.
• Encourages and facilitates patients’ participation in therapeutic activities.
• Supervises patients to ensure their safety and involvement in treatment.
• Provides one-to-one supervision to ensure patient safety and completes precaution records in real time.
• Orients new patients to unit, program and milieu and provides necessary handoffs.
• Participates in treatment planning with interdisciplinary team and contributes to discharge planning.
• Completes patient, program, and department documentation.
• Performs clerical and administrative tasks to support department operations.
• Monitors and reports patients’ progress and communicates information to shift lead.

Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Health

Bachelor’s Degree in non-Behavioral Health field with 1 year Behavioral Health experience
