Job summary

Fly By Night in Los Angeles is seeking an Associate Designer to join our design team and support the creative process with a focus on tech packs and fabrics.

You will own development tech packs, assist with production tech packs, and create direction briefs while utilizing CAD sketching, color multipliers, trend research, and SMU projects. Proficiency in Illustrator/Photoshop is required, with Excel skills a plus.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of professional apparel design experience.
• Portfolio website required.
• Proficient in Illustrator and Photoshop; Excel skills beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support the Design team on day-to-day creative projects and stay organized.
• Develop tech packs and assist with production tech packs.
• Create direction briefs for fabrics, artwork, trims, and trends.
• Assist with CAD sketching, color multipliers, trend research, and SMU projects.
• Prepare prints/graphics in Illustrator and Photoshop, including recoloring and sizing.
• Coordinate with vendors, factories, and designers for project updates.
• Track development samples, assign style numbers, and organize fabric library.
