Job summary

Bates College in Lewiston, Maine is seeking a Second Assistant Men’s Lacrosse Coach to support the Head Coach in a competitive NCAA Division III program. This seasonal position emphasizes mentorship, leadership, and student-athlete development.

The role requires night and weekend commitments, adherence to NCAA rules, and collaboration with staff. CPR & First Aid certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience playing or coaching the sport, college level preferred.
• Experience and/or demonstrated success in supervising young adults and managing programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to and enforces policies and NCAA/college rules.
• Provides leadership in personal and athletic development of student-athletes.
• Monitors eligibility status and academic progress of student-athletes.
• Assists in developing strategies to motivate players for peak performance.
• Provides training through skills, strength, and conditioning.
• Ensures safety of student-athletes and coaching staff.
