Candidates must have at least five years of experience working with Men's Gymnastics. Candidates must also have strong spotting abilities, think creatively in a busy gym, be a team player, and able to critique athletes in a positive manner.Responsibilities:Coach Development Program athletes (Pre-Team through Level 10) across all six men’s eventsImplement team training plans as directed by the Head Coach, adapting daily workouts to each athlete’s progressionSet and maintain high performance standards for skill development, strength, flexibility, and competitive readinessTeach and safely spot advanced skills on all events using proper progressions and injury-prevention practicesPrepare athletes for competition, including routine development, meet preparation, and in-meet coachingTravel with the team for competitions, including weekends and out-of-town meetsTrack athlete progress and provide regular feedback aligned with seasonal goalsCommunicate clearly and professionally with athletes, parents, and staff, including progress updates and goal settingUphold USA Gymnastics SafeSport standards and maintain all required certifications and membershipsCollaborate with coaching staff and support evaluations, tryouts, camps, and program eventsCreate a positive, disciplined, and athlete-centered training environmentPerform additional duties as needed to support the success of the programThis is not a comprehensive list of responsibilities, which can change at any time at the discretion of your supervisor.About You:You are dependable, energetic, and passionate about gymnastics and working with children. You have an extensive knowledge of gymnastics and are professional and courteous. You have:A minimum of five years of experience coaching DP Men's competitive gymnasticsAbility to work evenings and weekendsExcellent spotting skills on all gymnastics events and knowledge of skill progressionUp-to-date USA Gymnastics Safety Certification & SafeSport CertificationsAbility to create and/or follow lesson plans that fit within the program curriculumExcellent customer service and communication skills, internally and externallyStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work in a team environment and exhibit a positive attitudeAbility to lift up to 50 pounds or moreAbility to be standing or moving for multiple hoursAbility to see and hear athletes clearly in a busy environment
