Job summary

Holyoke Community College is seeking a part-time, non-benefited Men’s Basketball Head Coach to lead all phases of an intercollegiate program at Holyoke, MA. The role includes recruiting, training, and supporting student-athletes while ensuring academic progress and adherence to NJCAA rules.

Responsibilities cover practice organization, team strategy, and coordinating with the Athletic Director on schedules and transfers. The position requires evenings and weekends and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate degree required.
• Knowledge of basketball as student-athlete and/or coach.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit quality student-athletes and establish recruiting procedures.
• Organize and conduct team practices to prepare for competition.
• Direct, motivate, and advise student-athletes for competition success.
• Develop academic progress and transfer plans with athletic staff.
• Comply with NJCAA eligibility and college handbooks.
• Coordinate with Athletic Director on schedules and resources.
