Job summary

The North Face in Denver is seeking a Designer – Men’s Apparel to elevate design expression across performance and lifestyle lines. You will collaborate with the Men’s Apparel Design Team to create seasonal product design work and drive the creative vision from concept through to got-to-market.

You’ll work on product for Snow/Climb/Trail and lifestyle pieces, conduct seasonal research, develop tech-packs, and present designs at gates with cross-functional partners while upholding brand

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent relevant experience.
• 4+ years of experience in performance and lifestyle apparel design, preferably with high focus on men’s apparel.
• Preferred knowledge of both outerwear and sportswear design and product construction.
• Strong product acumen with working knowledge of apparel product development processes, including design, development, sourcing and manufacturing.
• Proficient working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Office.
• Good level sketching, excellent tech-pack creation skills and attention to detail.
• Experience doing research, prototyping and concepting across lifestyle and performance products.
• Cross functional and team collaboration and communication.
• Excellent collaboration skills and an ability to manage multiple timelines and deadlines.
• Proactive approach to identifying the root cause of challenges, seeking the best solutions with a values driven commitment to do what is right for the product and business needs.
• High degree of agility and adaptability, change mindset.
• Growth mindset and enthusiasm for learning new tools and problem-solving

Responsibilities

• Lead design concepts for seasonal products.
• Support the team on elevating design expression and creating best-in-industry men’s performance and performance-inspired apparel.
• Work on product built for Snow / Climb / Trail and lifestyle products inspired by these territories.
• Collaborate with design leadership and cross-functional partners on seasonal research, concepts, and tech-packing.
• Present design work at seasonal gates, and incorporate feedback from reviews.
• Ensure brand aesthetics, DNA, materials, fit, and cost-engineering across performance and lifestyle products.
