Job summary

Draper’s microfabrication facility in Cambridge, MA seeks a Microfabrication Process Engineer. In this role you will be a key player in the clean room environment, contributing to MEMS, photonics, microfluidics, and 3D integration, including interpose and wafer-level packaging concepts.

You will collaborate with device, hardware and software teams to advance new products. A BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Physics is required (MS preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of Microsystems Engineering or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Designs and develops MEMS devices and sensors and layouts.
• Assesses performance and process capabilities using modeling or simulation.
• Tests and evaluates devices with various tools and protocols.
• Develops production methods and fabrication processes for MEMS.
• Drafts documentation such as operating instructions and specifications.
