Job summary

STMicroelectronics is seeking a MEMS Design Engineer to join our MEMS R&D team in Chandler, AZ. You will design, model, and optimize MEMS devices, focusing on inertial and pressure sensor applications, collaborating across mechanical, electrical, and process teams to ensure high performance and manufacturability.

The ideal candidate has a MS/PhD in a related field with 2+ years MEMS design experience, strong modeling skills, and hands-on lab experience. Austin office is not an option.

• 2+ years MEMS design experience.
• Strong foundation in mechanics and modeling.
• Experience with MEMS device design and multi-physics analysis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mechanical design and development of MEMS devices until validatable to manufacturing.
• Evaluate impact of process variation, residual stress, packaging effects on performance.
• Iterate design between simulation, fabrication, and testing.
• Collaborate with process integration, test, packaging, and ASIC teams.
• Support correlation between simulation and production data.
• Use ANSYS, MATLAB/Simulink, JMP for design decisions.
