Job summary

International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. in Memphis, TN, is seeking a Maintenance Planner for an on-site role that focuses on building detailed maintenance plans and coordinating materials, tools, and safety requirements to keep plant operations running smoothly.

You will collaborate with maintenance technicians, reliability engineers, and operations to optimize plans, manage priorities, and ensure compliance with safety standards. A technical education and 3+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Formal maintenance training through an apprenticeship, trade school, or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of progressive maintenance technician experience.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance concepts.
• Experience with SAP Plant Maintenance and CMMS/MRIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Review maintenance work orders and develop detailed job plans aligned with priorities and execution timelines.
• Conduct field assessments and evaluate equipment documentation to define scope, labor, materials, and safety considerations.
• Partner with Maintenance Supervisors, Technicians, Reliability Engineers, and Operations teams to validate and optimize maintenance plans.
• Create comprehensive job packages including procedures, permits, drawings, P&IDs, photos, maintenance standards, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate the procurement and availability of materials, services, and specialized tools required for planned maintenance activities.
• Monitor material lead to proactively communicating potential risks to maintenance schedules and plant operations.
• Maintain and continuously improve maintenance documentation, SAP master data, bills of materials, procedures, and equipment records.
• Ensure planned work orders are fully prepared, appropriately resourced, and designated as ready for scheduling and execution.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by capturing lessons learned and updating maintenance plans based on job execution feedback.
