Job summary

TEKsystems in Memphis, TN, is seeking technicians for a local contract-to-hire role focused on low-voltage and structured cabling projects. You’ll install, pull, and terminate CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A and fiber, work on conduit, trays, and risers, and mentor junior technicians on site.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in structured cabling or low-voltage installations.
• Experience installing and troubleshooting CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A, and fiber‑optic cable.
• Experience pulling cable through conduit, tray, and riser systems.
• Copper and fiber termination experience.
• Experience testing and certifying cabling systems.

Responsibilities

• Pull, route, and secure CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A, and fiber‑optic cabling.
• Install cable pathways including conduit, cable tray, and riser systems.
• Terminate copper and fiber cabling to industry standards.
• Perform cable testing, troubleshooting, and certification using testing equipment.
• Assist with fiber splicing and inside/outside plant installations when required.
• Mentor and direct junior technicians on project work.
• Ensure all work complies with industry standards, safety requirements, and quality expectations.
