Job summary

Belmont Village Senior Living in San Diego, CA is seeking an Activity Enrichment Leader to join our team on a part-time basis. You will teach enrichment activities to cognitively impaired seniors using a structured Whole Brain Fitness curriculum and lead small groups with adaptability and a warm, engaging approach.

This role requires weekend availability, strong English communication, and a professional, collaborative attitude.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree with coursework in Recreation Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, Education or a related field of study. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months leading group activities with a special needs population.
• Ability to work the defined schedule for this position which may include weekends.
• Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English.
• Professional, pleasant, adaptable with a team oriented attitude.
• Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community.

Responsibilities

• Leading and teaching small groups of cognitively impaired seniors using our award winning therapeutic Whole Brain Fitness programs.
• Preparing materials and conducting relevant research to confidently lead engaging memory enrichment activities
• Assisting with Cognitive Assessments, tracking and trending of resident participation and maintaining compliance related documentation
