Job summary

Frederick Living seeks a Memory Support Nurse Aide to provide direct care for residents in Aspen, promoting independence and person-centered care in a compassionate setting.

The role includes ADL assistance, medication administration as ordered, and collaborative teamwork to ensure safety and quality of life. This part-time evening position requires flexibility for weekend and holiday rotations and offers a benefits package including health insurance and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Direct Care Staff certification required.
• Minimum of 6 hours of dementia education annually.
• Experience caring for older adults with cognitive impairments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, mobility).
• Support eating and drinking, including meal selection and cueing.
• Offer snacks and hydration throughout the day.
• Provide redirection and de-escalation for cognitive impairments.
• Record and report eating habits and vital signs to the coordinator or charge nurse.
• Encourage participation in leisure activities and programs.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and death procedures.
• Maintain resident records accurately and timely.
• Administer medications as defined by orders.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and handle linens/laundry.
• Respond to resident requests and emergencies promptly.
