Job summary

Synopsys Inc. in California seeks an experienced Application Engineer focused on Memory Interface IP. You will support post-sales integration, silicon bring-up, and field engagements with customers across global teams.

Strong lab debug, practical problem solving, and clear technical communication are essential. You'll work with DDR, LPDDR, HBM, and Controller IPs, staying current with DDR5/LPDDR6 and related protocols.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of industry experience in Memory Interface IP or related IP such as PCIe, Ethernet, UCIe.
• Experience with Controller IPs, AMBA/AXI, and back-end engineering.
• Hands-on lab debug and silicon bring-up.
• Proficiency in Linux, Verilog/VHDL, and ASIC design flows.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering (VLSI focus preferred).

Responsibilities

• Support post-sales integration and silicon bring-up of Memory Interface IP (HBM, DDR, LPDDR) and Controller IPs.
• Deliver technical presentations and training to help customers deploy solutions.
• Create documentation and user collateral to improve product usability and adoption.
• Collaborate with internal and customer engineering teams to solve technical challenges.
• Stay current with memory protocols (DDR5, LPDDR6, MRDIMM2, HBM4).
• Drive product usability, customer success, and technology adoption.
