Job summary

Oakmont of Santa Clarita is hiring a part-time caregiver for memory care who provides personal assistance and daily care to residents, helping maintain independence and quality of life. The role emphasizes compassionate support, adherence to care plans, and respectful interactions with residents and families.

The position requires 18+ with a High School Diploma or GED, willingness to be trained, and ability to pass health screenings.

Qualifications

Experience preferred but not necessary; we will train the right candidate.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
High School Diploma or GED.
Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.

Responsibilities

Assist residents in Activities of Daily Living as specified in the care plan.
Respond promptly to residents' needs while maintaining dignity and safety.
Communicate observed changes of condition to a supervisor.
Maintain a safe environment for staff, residents, and guests.
Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with coworkers and other departments.
