Job summary

Tutera Senior Living & Health Care is seeking a Memory Care Unit Charge Nurse/Coordinator for the Strafford facility. The role combines supervisory responsibilities with hands‑on leadership to ensure the Thrive dementia care program runs smoothly each day.

You will work with Life Enrichment staff and direct care teams, coordinating with the Administrator and Health Care Coordinator to maintain a high standard of resident care and a positive unit environment.

Qualifications

• Must have minimum of two years of experience with Alzheimer’s/dementia, with at least one year in a supervisory role.
• Licensed as an LPN or RN in Missouri preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Memory Care Unit operations and ensure Thrive program is implemented daily.
• Collaborate with Life Enrichment team and direct care staff to maintain a functional program.
• Coordinate with the Administrator and Health Care Coordinator for unit oversight.

What Will You Do in This Role?

As a Memory Care Unit Charge Nurse/Coordinator, you will be in a supervisory position and are responsible for ensuring the Thrive program is implemented daily and facilitated by Life Enrichment Coordinators, Life Enrichment Assistants, and direct care team members. The Memory Care Unit Charge Nurse/Coordinator is also responsible for the general oversight of the Courtyard community in cooperation with the Administrator and Health Care Coordinator. As a Memory Care Unit Charge Nurse, you will work closely with the Life Enrichment team and direct care staff to ensure a functional and appropriate program.

Do You Have What It Takes?

• A fire and passion for working with seniors
• A flexible, fun, and energetic personality
• Must have a minimum of two years of experience working with individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia, with at least one year of supervisory experience
• Prior background in senior living, social work, recreational therapy, or nursing preferred
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills required
• Must be able to demonstrate good judgement, prioritization of duties, and effective problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer’s progression in older adults required
• Professional image in both appearance and behavior
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Actively licensed as an LPN or RN in Missouri
