RMAs administer medications, monitor residents, and coordinate with licensed nurses to ensure resident wellbeing. Ideal candidates hold an RMA certification and a high school diploma or GED, with a focus on accurate documentation, infection control, and compassionate

Qualifications

• Administer medications as ordered by a physician under supervision of licensed staff.
• Record patient information accurately in the chart and in the system.
• Monitor residents and report changes to nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with regulations and policy.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the five rights of medication administration and records meds given.
• May take and record residents' vital signs as required by medications.
• Document medication administration and treatments in the computer system.
• Observe and report adverse reactions to a nurse immediately.
• Administer PRN meds per policy and regulations.
• Maintain infection control practices and universal precautions.
