Qualifications

• Strong communication and organizational skills are required.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Successful completion of a state-approved Medication Aide training program and competency evaluation is required.
• Current Medication Aide certification is required.
• Must be in good standing with no allegations of abuse or neglect.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Accurately document medication administration and resident observations.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and report concerns to nursing staff.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed.
• Ensure resident safety, comfort, and dignity at all times.
• Follow physician orders and individualized care plans.
• Maintain compliance with policies, state regulations, and industry standards.
• Work collaboratively with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team.
