Job Description

Wage: $17.50/ Hr.
Schedule: On-Call

Job Summary: The duties and responsibilities are representative of the basic functions, general nature, and level of work for the position. They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of duties. Every Team Member is expected to perform essential functions similar or related to the ones identified, follow supervisor directions, and complete additional duties as requested. The Caregiver is responsible for assisting residents with Daily Living Activities such as bathing, grooming, hygiene, transportation, and maintaining dignity and respect with superior customer service, in accordance with policies, procedures, regulations, and guidelines.

Essential Job Duties (Include % of time):

  • Respond promptly and kindly to resident needs, maintaining dignity, safety, and confidentiality (50%)
  • Follow care plans to ensure proper care (10%)
  • Assist with bathing, dressing, hygiene, meals, activities, and other daily living tasks (20%)
  • Assist at mealtime with meals and room trays (3%)
  • Transport residents safely (3%)
  • Perform safety checks (1%)
  • Encourage participation in activities (1%)
  • Perform laundry and assist with community activities (1%)
  • Manage oxygen equipment per MD orders (1%)
  • Document resident information and communicate changes (4%)
  • Respond to alerts and emergencies (3%)
  • Ensure safety and comfort, participate in safety drills (1%)

Non-Essential Duties include displaying professionalism, teamwork, effective time management, tactful communication, adherence to policies, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Age 18+ or proper work authorization
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Nurses Aid certification preferred
  • Current first aid certification
  • Background checks as required
  • Health screening and TB test (within last 6 months or within 7 days of employment)
  • Prior caregiving experience preferred; on-the-job training available
  • Ability to read and speak English, follow directions, interact effectively
  • Meet state regulatory requirements

Physical Demands include mobility, lifting (40+ pounds), and pushing (150 pounds).
