Job summary

Oakmont Senior Living's Ivy Park at Fullerton is seeking a Medication Technician to supervise and assist in administering medications to residents in accordance with nursing standards and company policies. The role includes direct personal care, encouraging participation in activities, and coordinating with housekeepers and maintenance to support a safe, compassionate living environment.

Qualifications

• Prefer one year of experience assisting with medication at a RCFE.
• Completion of training/certification may be required per state regulation.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; LVN is a plus.
• Able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Written and verbal communication with employees, supervisors, physicians, residents and families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including TB.
• Vaccination and PPE requirements may apply per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with the resident, pharmacy, and physician.
• Order and track all medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential resident medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
