Job summary

Fieldstone Memory Care of Yakima is seeking a dedicated Medication Aide (WA) to administer and assist with resident medications in a safe, compassionate setting. The role emphasizes dignity, independence, and timely nursing coordination.

Responsibilities include vital signs support, accurate documentation, and collaboration with physicians, pharmacies, and families. Strong English skills, a valid CNA/HCA license, and state medication pass certification are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must hold current CNA/HCA license in good standing.
• Must hold a medication pass certification per state requirements.
• Current First Aid and CPR Card.
• Pass a criminal background and fingerprint check.
• General computer literacy and good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Administer and/or assist with the self-administration of routine and non-routine medications per physician orders and nursing practices.
• Record medications and treatments in each resident’s clinical record with reasons for omissions or PRN administration.
• Record narcotics on the controlled drug count sheet and report medication errors immediately.
• Report changes in resident conditions to the Director of Nursing Services, physician, and family members as indicated.
• Communicate with physician, pharmacy, and family to ensure timely medication delivery and provide direct resident care.
• Interact effectively with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
• Assist with ADLs and document care provided in logs and incident reports.
• Greet residents and staff respectfully, maintaining dignity and confidentiality.
