Job summary

Jackson Creek Memory Care is seeking skilled Certified Medication Technicians to assist in administering medications for residents with memory care needs. The role involves 12-hour shifts with full-time benefits and competitive hourly compensation ($21.00–$25.00).

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Medication Aide with state-approved training.
• Experience in long-term care medication administration preferred.
• Ability to maintain resident privacy per HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Follow facility policies and procedures governing medication administration.
• Note and report medication errors.
• Assist in developing procedures to reduce medication errors.
• Complete required forms, charts, and reports.
• Maintain professional relationships with health services staff and pharmacists.
• Report resident complaints to Health Services Director.
• Participate in QA programs and medication-related committees.
• Accurately prepare, administer, and document medications as ordered.
• Verify medications brought in by new residents are identified.
• Follow labeling and charting procedures for medications.
• Document and manage discontinued medications.
• Notify Health Services Director of medication-related issues.
• Observe and verify medication ingestion as directed.
• Notify supervisor of any reactions or issues with medications.
• Ensure proper resident identification before administration.
• Record vital signs as required.
• Support self-administration by residents where appropriate.
• Continual education to maintain certifications and skills.
