Qualifications

  • Experience as a Caregiver and Medication Tech in Memory Care or Assisted Living.
  • Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification during employment.
  • Ability to obtain a Food Handler's Card.
  • Experience in electronic medical records documentation.
  • Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

  • Pass medications according to physician orders under supervision.
  • Administer medications accurately and timely.
  • Record medications in the resident's chart.
  • Notify pharmacy or family when refills are needed.
  • Maintain a clean medication cart and room.
  • Monitor and report medication side effects to the Health Services Director.
  • Follow care plans based on residents' needs and assessments.
  • Assist with medical appointments and advocate for residents.
