Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living in Rocky Hill, CT, is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a part-time position on an every-other-weekend 7-3 shift in our memory care community. You will deliver nursing care in a warm, home-like environment and support a team of dedicated professionals.

Requirements include an LPN license and CPR certification, plus 1–2 years of nursing experience, preferably with the elderly.

Qualifications

• Current state license as an LPN and CPR certification.
• Graduate of an approved LPN program (per state requirements).
• Minimum of 1–2 years of nursing experience preferred.
• Previous experience with the elderly in paid or volunteer roles is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess, communicate, and document residents’ status.
• Observe and report significant health/behavior changes to care team per state regulations.
• Direct and supervise daily work assignments of Resident Care Assistants.
• Mentor Lead RCAs in all aspects of their job.
• Coordinate care needs with community providers via case management process.
• Balance service demands with supporting resident independence.
• Recognize and report elder abuse, neglect, exploitation per state regulations.
• Respond to emergencies and personal emergency response system promptly.
