Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living, LLC in Arlington, VA is seeking a Memory Care Activities Assistant to support Life Enrichment programming for residents with memory loss. You will develop Life Skills experiences, guide meaningful routines, and help residents participate in structured activities.

The role requires 1+ year memory-impaired senior care, strong communication, and the ability to adapt activities; HS diploma is required. Benefits include medical, vision, PTO, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience working with memory-impaired seniors.
• High School Diploma/GED; age 18+.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt activities to cognitive ability.
• Experience leading group activities preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized Life Skills based on resident interests and abilities.
• Engage residents daily in meaningful, familiar routines.
• Organize small groups and enrichment clubs.
• Review ISPs, Resident Profiles, and demographic information to tailor activities.
• Document participation per quality standards.
• Maintain Life Skills stations and program supplies.
• Encourage team members and volunteers to support engagement.
• Assist residents to and from programs and activities
