Job summary

Wholehearted Senior Living in San Antonio, TX is seeking an Activities Coordinator for Memory Care to plan, lead and adapt meaningful daily activities that support residents’ cognitive, physical, and emotional well-being.

You will develop monthly calendars, engage residents individually and in groups, coordinate family events, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a calm, engaging environment for those living with dementia.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with seniors preferred.
• Experience with dementia/memory care preferred.
• Patience, creativity, initiative and strong communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain a monthly activities calendar for Memory Care residents.
• Lead daily individual and group activities based on residents' interests, abilities and histories.
• Provide a variety of programming including cognitive, physical, social, sensory, spiritual, recreational and creative activities.
• Create activities for residents at different stages of dementia and for those who cannot participate in traditional group activities.
• Provide one-on-one engagement and promote participation.
• Coordinate holiday celebrations, family involvement, and community events.
