Job summary

Oakmont Management Group is seeking a Memory Care Director in California to lead a Whole Living dementia program across the community. You will collaborate with culinary, activities, and health services to create personalized care plans that promote independence and engagement.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Prefer two years of dementia care experience.
• Preference for one year of supervisory/management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in gerontology/psychology/sociology or related field, or 3+ years in social services.
• RCFE administrator license may be required.
• Hold or obtain dementia-care certifications (CDP/CAC/CAE/CDCM).
• Valid first aid and CPR certification preferred.
• Food-handler certification preferred.
• Must pass background check and health screenings, including TB testing.
• Vaccination or other health protocols may be required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Traditions memory care neighborhood to meet service plans and resident needs.
• Lead a comprehensive dementia-care program in collaboration with culinary, activities, and health services.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and adequate staffing per policy.
• Coordinate pre-admission assessments and ongoing resident evaluations.
• Partner with physicians, discharge planners, nurses, and agencies on care needs.
• Provide input to Health Services Director for resident care decisions.
