Bellaire at Stone Port Assisted Living and Memory Care in Harrisonburg, VA is interviewing for a Memory Care Director to lead its memory care program and join its exceptional team.

You will design the memory care program, manage budget and resources, mentor the clinical team, and coordinate move-ins with individualized care plans, while promoting resident wellness, safety, and family engagement.

Qualifications

• Current LPN licensure or RMA certification required.
• Minimum of 3 years' dementia care experience.
• Proven leadership and ability to mentor and motivate staff.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead the Community Memory Care program with resident and family involvement.
• Oversee budget, inventory, and resource utilization for memory care.
• Create a welcoming, safe environment promoting wellness and independence.
• Coordinate move-in wellness assessments and individualized care plans.
• Train and supervise the memory care clinical team.
• Provide health promotion and dementia education for residents and families.
• Engage with residents and families with compassion and dignity.
• Support quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.

Bellaire at Stone Port Assisted Living and Memory Care is interviewing for a Memory Care Director to lead its memory care program and join its exceptional team.

• Designs and facilitates the Community Memory Care program, promoting active participation from residents, family members, and team members
• Oversee the budget and implementation of a cost-effective Memory Care program, including managing an inventory list of equipment and supplies and maximizing resources available
• Creates and sustains a welcoming and safe environment which promotes resident wellness and independence
• Participates in the resident move-in process through initial wellness assessments and the development of individualized care plans
• Trains, schedules, and leads the Memory Care clinical team in providing exceptional care experiences, providing hands-on support, education and training opportunities
• Delivers health promotion services and dementia care education services for residents and families
• Engage with residents and family members in a compassionate and impactful manner, creating a lasting and positive experience
• Contributes toward quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
• Coordinates the Community's infection control program while maintaining state regulatory compliance

Qualifications:

• Maintains current state Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure or Registered Medication Aide (RMA) certification
• Minimum of three (3) years' experience in dementia care
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the readiness to mentor, motivate, and inspire team members
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to serve with love, compassion, and dignity
