Job summary

Weatherly Inn Tacoma LLP is seeking a reliable Dietary Cart Aide to support Memory Care residents with safe, personalized meal service. You will help ensure food safety, quality, and resident comfort while collaborating with the dementia care team.

Requirements include GED or HS diploma, 1+ year food service experience, and completion of Food Handlers Certification and dementia training. The role is full-time, on-site with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma required.
• 1+ year experience in food preparation and service, preferably with dementia residents.
• Food Handlers Certification (within 14 days) and Dementia training required.
• Strong multitasking, organizational skills, and flexibility.
• Proficient with kitchen and cleaning equipment (extractor, vacuum, culinary machinery, mop & bucket).

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and provide personalized dining support to Memory Care residents.
• Maintain food at safe temperatures and follow proper food handling procedures.
• Assist with pre-meal prep, short order cooking, and post-meal cleanup.
• Mop floors, clean bases, and complete periodic deep cleaning.
• Ensure necessary supplies are stocked for Memory Care service.
• Communicate changes in resident behavior or needs to nursing staff.
• Follow Employee Handbook, policies, and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as directed.
