Job summary

Weatherly Inn in Tacoma, WA is seeking a reliable Dietary Cart Aide to support Memory Care residents with safe, personalized meal service. You will help maintain food safety, quality, and resident comfort on a collaborative care team.

Responsibilities include delivering meals, assisting with pre- and post-meal tasks, stocking supplies, and communicating resident needs to nursing staff. A GED or HS diploma and food handler certification are required.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma required.
• 1+ year experience in food preparation and service, preferably with dementia residents.
• Food Handlers Certification (within 14 days) and Dementia training required.
• Strong multitasking, organizational skills, and flexibility.
• Proficient with kitchen and cleaning equipment (extractor, vacuum, culinary machinery, mop & bucket).

• Maintain food at safe temperatures and follow proper food handling procedures.
• Assist with pre-meal prep, short order cooking, and post-meal cleanup.
• Mop floors, clean bases, and complete periodic deep cleaning.

• Communicate changes in resident behavior or needs to nursing staff.
• Follow Employee Handbook, policies, and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as directed.

• Lift/carry up to 50 lbs; push 250 lbs in wheelchair or cart
