Job summary

Avamere in Tigard, OR is seeking caregivers for Memory Care/Assisted Living with daytime and evening shifts. Responsibilities include ADLs, emotional support, meal prep, and safety monitoring, ensuring residents receive compassionate care.

The role emphasizes maintaining a clean, safe environment and promoting residents' quality of life. CPR/First Aid and food handler certifications are preferred or required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a caregiver in memory care or assisted living preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid certification.
• Ability to obtain a Food Handler's Card.
• Experience in electronic medical records documentation.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents and guests.
• Genuine desire to improve the quality of life for seniors.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Assist with meals, mobility, and housekeeping tasks.
• Monitor health and report changes to medical staff.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and confidential environment for residents and staff.
• Support orientation of new residents and staff as needed.
• Respond to resident calls promptly.
