Job description

Memory Care Caregiver (Finance)

Provides dementia care including adapted ADLs, meaningful engagement, and communication to residents following a person-centered individual service plan. Treats residents with respect and dignity, recognizes individual needs, and encourages independence. Fosters a purposeful and engaging culture throughout the community.

Assists residents and provides input regarding the care plan and daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and attending programs and meals as per the individual service plan. Partners with and encourages residents to maintain as much independence as possible, supporting their ability to perform their own care.

Participates in team behavioral expression meetings or discussions with community leadership. Knows residents' Life Stories, preferences, routines, and interests. Serves meals in the dining room, may assist in meal preparation following dementia-friendly menus, and encourages residents to eat properly while respecting their right to free choice. Records and reports any changes in eating habits.

Initiates and/or leads at least one Daily Path engagement program in line with residents' Life Stories, Solace program, or calendar. Promotes socialization and participation in planned or spontaneous, person-centered activities, fostering friendships among residents.

Maintains residents' records daily, including documentation related to medication, engagement interests, incidents, observations, and changes in health or behavior. Reports any significant changes to the supervisor promptly. May assist with medication administration if permitted by state regulations, following physician orders and policies.

Ensures a clean, safe, and orderly environment, performing general housekeeping and following schedules for laundry, bedrooms, dining, living spaces, bathrooms, and kitchen. Responds promptly and appropriately to emergency situations and resident requests for assistance.

Monitors resident locations, reports if a resident is unaccounted for, and encourages teamwork with co-workers. This description provides an overview of responsibilities and is not exhaustive; associates are expected to perform all duties assigned by their supervisor.

Salary range: $14.86 - $18.57. Role is eligible for team bonuses. Temporary associates may participate in the 401(k) plan but are not benefits-eligible.
