Atria Senior Living – Cinco Ranch in Katy, TX is seeking a Life Guidance Activities Aide to lead and implement engaging programs for residents, with emphasis on well-being and social engagement. You will plan daily activities, coordinate celebrations, and collaborate with Life Guidance team, volunteers, and staff to support census and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–2 years experience with adult population in activities/training.
• Working knowledge of recreational therapy methods for residents with Alzheimer’s/Dementia.
• Certification(s) based on current state regulations.
• Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Leads Life Guidance programs and develops service plans.
• Offers recreational activities with supervision for each activity.
• Involves Life Guidance staff in planning daily programs including ADLs.
• Plans birthday celebrations for each resident.
• Develops programs for residents including those confined to rooms.
• Engages residents to maximize participation.
• Greets new residents and integrates them with others of similar interests.
• Assists in planning events and decorating the community by season/holiday.
• Supports census-building initiatives.
• Maintains records of activities and participation as required by state law.
• Assists in enlisting volunteers for the activities program.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
