Job summary

Oakmont Management Group in Irvine, CA, seeks an Activity Coordinator to organize and promote engaging Memory Care activities, improving residents’ independence and quality of life in the Traditions area.

The role supports the Memory Care Director and requires effective communication, a computer proficient individual, and the ability to drive community vehicles. Prior experience coordinating activities with seniors is preferred.

Qualifications

• Communicate effectively and display tact and friendliness when dealing with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Assist the Memory Care Director in providing an interesting, creative, and rewarding social atmosphere throughout the secured Traditions area. Promoting resident participation through regularly scheduled high-quality activities, excursions, special events, guest speakers, movie showings, exercise sessions, the establishment of clubs, games, art and creativity opportunities, educational classes and other such activities.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
