Job summary

The Ivy Golden Gate, a premier senior living community managed by Oakmont Management Group, is seeking an Activity Coordinator for Traditions Memory Care in California. The role focuses on organizing engaging activities to enhance residents’ independence and quality of life while aligning with the organization’s mission and values.

Responsibilities include scheduling, promoting, and directing activities, maintaining safety, and fostering teamwork across departments.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age,
• High school diploma or equivalent,
• Prefer one (1) year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors,
• Requires current Class C, prefer Class B driver license to transport residents,
• Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Vaccination and health screening may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist Memory Care Director in providing a rewarding social atmosphere with activities and excursions for Traditions Memory Care residents.
• Promote resident participation through scheduled high-quality activities, excursions, events, speakers, movies, exercises, clubs, games, and classes.
• Communicate effectively and with tact with residents, families, visitors, staff, and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Support transportation using community vehicles when needed.
