Job summary

Versailles Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Versailles, Ohio is seeking a Memory Care Activity Assistant to join our caring team and brighten residents' days.

You will plan and lead engaging activities for Memory Care residents, adapt to abilities, lead games, crafts, music, and provide one-on-one companionship, while collaborating with nurses.

Experience in activities or dementia care is a plus, but the right personality and passion are most important.

Memory Care Activity Assistant

Versailles Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is looking for an enthusiastic Activity Assistant to join our Memory Care team! This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.

As a Memory Care Activity Assistant, you’ll help create engaging, purposeful experiences that encourage socialization, movement, creativity, and connection. From music and games to crafts, celebrations, sensory activities, and one-on-one visits, you’ll help make each day special for our residents.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with planning and leading daily activities specifically designed for Memory Care residents

• Encourage resident participation while adapting activities to individual abilities and interests

• Lead games, crafts, music, exercise, social events, and other engaging programs

• Provide meaningful one-on-one interaction and companionship

• Help decorate and prepare for holidays, special events, and resident celebrations

• Support a positive, welcoming, and engaging Memory Care environment

• Work closely with nursing and other team members to support residents’ overall quality of life

• Assist with documentation and activity-related responsibilities as needed
