Varietas Program Coordinator- Part- time ( To include weekends)

SUMMARY OF POSITION FUNCTIONS

To carry out the Varietas Daily Routine program, using the core values, philosophy, objectives, and policies of the community.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Develops monthly themed activity calendar for residents based on the Varietas Daily Routine.
• Carries out monthly activity calendar with varied activities.
• Recruits, organizes, trains, and recognizes volunteers to expand and supplement the Varietas program while including the largest number of residents possible.
• Involves resident families, the community, and volunteers in activities to help the resident transition and maintain a satisfying well being and positive state of mind.
• Encourages residents to participate in meaningful activities.
• Maintains all activity areas in a neat and orderly manner.
• Participates in Family Support meetings when needed.
• Maintains community involvement.

NON-ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Other duties as assigned.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be willing work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends due to special events.

Education and Qualifications

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to chart accurately. Ability to speak effectively before residents or coworkers.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Valid State issued driver’s license and must be 21 years of age.
