Job summary

Elderwood is seeking a Memory Care Program Specialist in Lancaster, NY. You will provide therapeutic and social programming under the guidance of the Director of Activities and Memory Care to support residents’ well-being.

The role involves managing memory care calendars, progress notes, and attendance, along with assisting with meal service when needed. A relevant degree or certification is required, plus strong computer skills and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy or related field, or COTA.
• 1–2 years of experience in long-term care activities.
• Current license or willing to obtain certification within 1 year.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel and basic web apps.
• English language proficiency at intermediate+ level.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic and social programming to meet residents' physical and emotional needs.
• Maintain memory care calendar, resident participation reviews, daily attendance forms and monthly progress reports.
• Assist with meal service and feeding as trained.
• Respond promptly to residents' needs and document care.
