Job summary

Elderwood Administrative Services in Williamsville seeks an compassionate Activity Leader to plan and lead engaging recreation programs that keep residents energized, socially connected, and mentally stimulated.

Responsibilities include collaborating with the Director Activities, scheduling personalized activities, documenting progress, and building strong community links. Must be 18+, HS diploma, have a NY driver’s license, and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 yrs age
• HS diploma or equivalent required
• Valid New York Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Ability to build relationships with staff, volunteers, families and visitors
• Ability to inspire and motivate others and adapt activities for residents
• Must read, write, speak and understand English at an intermediate level or higher

Responsibilities

• Assists the Director Activities in planning and carrying out the activity program.
• Plans individual recreational and social activities with residents and reports on responses.
• Prepares resident information for care planning and documentation; writes progress notes as assigned.
• Maintains contact with community resources to enhance activities program.
• Maintains inventory of equipment and supplies for the department.
• Keeps attendance and prepares reports as required.
