Job summary

Iris Memory Care of Rowlett is seeking a compassionate Life Enrichment Assistant to plan and lead activities that support residents’ emotional, social, cognitive, and physical well-being. This role involves daily interaction with residents throughout the day in a warm, engaging environment.

We offer a small, supportive memory care community with opportunities to make a meaningful impact. The position is full-time, with weekend availability required, and pay starts at $14.50 per hour, negotiable

Qualifications

• Compassionate, patient, and dependable
• Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to engage and communicate with seniors living with dementia
• Creative, energetic, and team-oriented
• Previous senior living, memory care, activities, childcare, customer service, or healthcare experience preferred — but not required
• MUST be able to pass background check and meet employment requirements

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist with daily activities, events, games, crafts, music, exercise, and social engagement
• Encourage resident participation and build positive relationships with residents and families
• Support outings, special events, and holiday celebrations
• Assist with activity setup, decorating, organization, and cleanup
• Help maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere throughout the community
• Work collaboratively with caregivers, nursing staff, and leadership
• Adapt activities to meet the unique needs of residents living with dementia
