Job summary

Majestic Care Goshen is seeking a Memory Care Activities Assistant for the part-time evening shift to engage residents through individualized and group activities in a compassionate team setting.

You will organize and participate in programming, support therapeutic activities (pet, music, art therapy), assist with decorating for events, post monthly calendars, and maintain attendance records while fostering a warm, safe environment for residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Activity Assistant Certification preferred.
• CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the environment to provide both comfort and stimulation to the resident population.
• Foster a sense of community within the community environment.
• Lead and participate in individual and group activities.
• Utilize a variety of models to achieve individualized programming such as pet therapy, music therapy, art therapy, etc.
• Assist with decorating the facility and preparing for special events and seasonal parties.
• Develop and post monthly calendar as a planning resource for residents and families.
• Participate in recreational programs for residents confined to their rooms.
• Promote volunteer efforts in the community.
• Maintain records of activities and attendance.

Education
