Job summary

Monarch Communities is seeking a Memory Care Activity Coordinator to lead resident engagement in the Memory Care Neighborhood at Brandywine Mahwah, NJ. The role focuses on developing and administering a comprehensive activity program tailored to residents' needs, interests, and capabilities.

You will collaborate with family members, coordinate programs with other departments, and ensure compliance with regulations while supporting volunteers and community partners.

Qualifications

• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills with residents, families and staff.
• Experience in memory care or dementia care is preferred.
• High school diploma or higher education is preferred.
• Proficiency in computer skills, especially Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel).
• Ability to manage time effectively and stay organized on multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop recreation and activity programs to meet residents' needs and interests in Memory Care.
• Create resident histories and profiles with family involvement; summarize information for staff.
• Schedule and coordinate social programs, educational events, entertainment, and group activities.
• Create monthly social program calendars and distribute to staff and residents.
• Coordinate programs with other departments and interface with all personnel.
• Seek partnerships with local organizations for community programming.
• Assist with training and orientation for volunteers.
• Drive the community vehicle for resident outings.
• Attend in-service training as scheduled.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations and community policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
