Job summary

Monarch Communities is seeking a Full Time Memory Care Activity Coordinator for Brandywine Mahwah in Mahwah, NJ. You will develop and administer engaging resident programs tailored to memory care needs, with a focus on compassion and community.

Responsibilities include creating histories, scheduling events, coordinating with staff, and partnering with local groups. A flexible schedule and weekend availability are required; pay ranges from $19.50 to $20.50 per hour, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience leading/creating activities for the elderly preferred.
• Experience with dementia/alzheimer's preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time management and organizational abilities.
• Ability to make independent decisions when needed.
• Flexible schedule with at least one weekend day per week.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop recreation and activity programs to meet residents' needs and capabilities in Memory Care.
• Create resident histories with family involvement and share findings with staff to tailor activities.
• Schedule and coordinate social, educational, entertainment, and religious programs for Memory Care.
• Develop a monthly social program calendar, print, and distribute it to staff and residents.
• Coordinate programs with other departments and engage all personnel as appropriate.
• Pursue partnerships with local organizations to enhance programming.
• Assist with training and orientation for volunteers on activities.
• Drive the community vehicle for resident outings.
• Attend all in-service trainings as scheduled.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations and community policies.
