Job summary

Traditions-Management in Indianapolis is seeking a Memory Care Activities Assistant to support the Memory Care Director in creating a safe, stimulating environment for residents living with memory challenges.

You will develop monthly themed activity calendars, lead activities, recruit and train volunteers, and involve families and the community to promote wellbeing and engagement. You’ll help maintain activity areas and participate in family support meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
• Valid State issued driver’s license and must be 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Develops monthly themed activity calendar for residents based on the Memory Care Program Daily Routine.
• Carries out monthly activity calendar with varied activities.
• Recruits, organizes, trains, and recognizes volunteers to expand and supplement the Memory Care program while including the largest number of residents possible.
• Involves resident families, the community, and volunteers in activities to help the resident transition and maintain a satisfying wellbeing and positive state of mind.
• Encourages residents to participate in meaningful activities.
• Maintains all activity areas in a neat and orderly manner.
• Participates in Family Support meetings when needed.
• Maintains community involvement.
