Job summary

Morning Pointe Senior Living in Tennessee is seeking an Activity Assistant to support the Lantern Program Director and facilitate activities for residents with varying cognitive abilities. The position supports meal service, ADL care as needed, helps recruit and orient volunteers, and assists with outings and events while maintaining safe, organized activity spaces.

Qualifications

• Assist with meal service and ADL care as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead group activities listed on the monthly calendar or as directed by the LPD.
• Assist with one-on-one activities for residents who are unable to participate in group activities.
• Document resident participation in group and individual activities.
• Encourage resident assistants to assist with activities.
• Assist LPD with inventory and ordering of supplies.
• Gather and organize activity supplies for scheduled activities.
• Assist with meal service as needed.
• Assist with resident outings including helping residents onto and off of the bus; supervising residents on the bus and off of the bus at a destination.
• Help recruit volunteers.
• Orient and guide volunteers in the community.

Education

High School Diploma

Valid driver's license

First Aid/CPR certification
